Oscultar

Friends from Mexico tell me oscultar means to perform some sort of medical examination on a patient. I can't corroborate it anywhere. Did I hear correctly?

It may have been pronounced like that, but the word you're looking for is "auscultar". It's the set of actions to examine a patient. :)

Ah, thanks, I heard it wrong - when they spelled it for me their au must have sounded like an o. My bad!
