"Good girl"

Hi

Say I want to tell my friend that she was a good girl for cleaning her room, is it appropriate for me (a guy) to say "buena chica"?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, buena chica, is OK.
Just as in English, much depends on the tone you say it. Chica buena is the term you need to be careful about.

Poli is completely right. Be careful about the tone: when one says it slowly, it may be interpreted as an animalization (talking to a dog).

A pleasure.

No fue bondad, sino gentileza.
También: fue una chica bondadoza.
