Zezenzusko o Toro de fuego
Original text:
"Toro de juego: life-size papier-mâché bull mounted on wheels and loaded with fireworks, pulled through the streets at night in celebrating fiestas in the North of Spain; also called in Basque - Zezenzuzko." My question is: how to pronounce this "Zezenzusko"? |
I have no idea. Basque is another language from North Spain (I'm a southerner). In Spain there are four languages: Spanish (the common one), Galician, Catalan and Basque.
A pleasure. |
I couldn't find the exact word, but I managed to hear some others, with the sounds this one has, pronounced by native Basque speaker. I think the pronunciation of that word is more or less easy: "z" sounds very similar to "s" (at least to Latin American "s") and the vowels seem to be pronounced the same as in Spanish. "K" has also the same sound we all know. :)
Edit: By the way, it's hard to find every word, because Basque is an agglutinative language, but I just found the pronunciation of "zezenko" (bull) here, so you can have an idea. :) |
Thank you again, Angelica! You are helping me a lot.

I'm glad to help. :)
