What does it mean if someone calls you (a girl) lechuga or lechugita "?? It makes no sense to me.

It doesn't make sense to me either; apparently it's not an idiomatic expression. This might have something to do with an individual perception, so I think it's better to ask the person who called you that. It seems to me like a term of endearment though, I don't think it's anything negative. :thinking:

The diminutive should be spelled 'lechuguita' so the consonant sound of the 'g' is retained.

There may be a reference here to the saying 'fresco como una lechuga' ("fresh as a daisy"). It may mean that the other person sees you as energetic or healthy. It can also mean 'skinny' (if you have lost weight or are dieting and your features are thinning).

You can always ask the person what it means to them. ;)

En Chile, un persona "fresca" es alguien que se aprovecha de una situación. Sobre todo en las relaciones humanas.

Definitely that expression in México means that : "you are young"

If somebody tells you (girl) that you are a "lechuguita" that means something like:

aaaawwwwww, you are a cute,innocent, young girl.
