Does ‘en principio’ here mean ‘in principle’ or ‘in the beginning’?
Is there another way(s) to express the same phrase in Spanish?
Thank you.

"En principio" means "in principle", but here, I think it could also mean "on principle" --People I know would be very against eating artificial meat. :D

"Al principio" means "in the beginning". :)
