Back garden, front garden
We have a front garden and a back garden:
Can ‘detrás’ be replaced with ‘atrás’ here? Can we say ‘un jardín delantero’ and ‘un jardín trasero’? Many thanks in advance. |

Yes, you can also say: Tenemos un jardín anterior y uno posterior. Tenemos un jardín frontal y uno trasero. |
I wonder, if I say patio trasero is there any risk of misunderstanding due to the RAE's definition #3 here?
trasero, ra. (De tras1). 1. adj. Que está, se queda o viene detrás. 2. adj. |

Don't worry. It's impossible. There is no risk of misunderstanding because in this case (#3) "trasero" always works as a noun. It's clearly recognizable. |
Good to know; I'd been avoiding it for no good reason then. Thanks!
