How can we translate
Los inmigrantes estan siendo devueltos en caliente.
It means once they set foot in Spain they are send back without any contemplation.

I agree with Rusty for the specific situation.

There is also "right away" for the more general meaning of "en caliente".

Immigrants are being sent back right away. :thinking:

I equate it to ahora mismo.
It has the same meaning as immediately, but it seems nicer than immediately.
