Sorteo por tómbola

I hadn't really seen the word tómbola used before today. The context was in some contest rules and it said "...para poder participar en sorteos por tómbola". I assume this means "random drawing". Can anyone confirm this? Also, how common is this word? Is it the same as "al azar" basically? :)

Tómbola, which means raffle (especially for charity), is used in Spain.

Okis, Rusty a lot of thanks.

What do you do it?

You've studied a lot in when you went to the school, or you always are reading books.

Rusty September 27, 2008 11:27 AM

How do I do it?

When someone asks a question I don't have an answer for, I get the answer from the Internet. There are many good dictionaries and other sources of information on the Internet, in both languages.

Hola David.
Saludos :D
