The difference between 'Estanque de Peces' and 'Piscina de Peces' ?

Hello, there!

What's the exact difference between 'Estanque de Peces' and 'Piscina de Peces' ?

When should I use 'Piscina de Peces' and when should I use the other one?

Thanks.

The difference would most likely be regional.

I would use estanque (pond) instead of piscina (pool, swimming pool).

There are other words for a pond, like charca and poza, but I can't remember piscina being used anywhere I've been.
There are other words for a swimming pool, like pileta (Argentina) and alberca (México), but I can't remember hearing estanque used anywhere.

It would surprise me a lot that anyone anywhere used "piscina de peces", "pileta de peces", "alberca de peces" or "natatorio de peces" as those are not built for recreation and sport.

Estanque (de peces) = typical shallow pond-like, like those in a garden containing lotus, water lilies and gold fishes. You add "de peces" in the rare case that's its only or main purpose, otherwise is an "estanque con peces".

Tanque de peces = typical medium-deep tank used in fish farming

Acuario = fish tank, with at least one glassed wall, to show different species of fish, generally with a sea-like decoration. The huge version of a fish bowl.

¡Gracias! aleCcowaN!

I'm developing a mobile App.
I was originally in favor of 'Estanque de Peces Fondo Animado' as the official App tile, because I found 'Estanque de Peces' was the more frequently used one on web. Unfortunately this title is 31 characters long and exceeds the maximum length allowed by Google, which is 30 characters.

So I am wondering if 'Piscina de Peces Fondo Animado' is still an appropriate one.

A "piscina" is where people swim, not fish, so it's not an appropriate translation of "pool" in this context.

¡Gracias! AngelicaDeAlquezar

Do I have any other option to express the meaning - 'Fish Pond Live Wallpaper' other than 'Estanque de Peces'

You can use the suggestion I gave. 'Charca de/con peces' works.
