Necesito corrección para un texto sobre moda

¡Hola a todos!

Primeramente, me encanta traducir artículos ingléses al español para practicar y mejorar mi español así que una amiga mía que me ha ayudado mucho para que aprendiera el español, me ha pedido que tradujera algunos textos ingléses al español, así que he traducidido este artículo sobre diseño de moda al español y ahora necesito sus ayudas y correcciónes, por favor. No lo hice por nada sino que me encanta traducir.

Firstly, I love to translate English articles to Spanish to practice and improve my Spanish so that my friend, who has helped me a lot to learn Spanish, has asked me to translate some English texts to Spanish so that I have translated this article about fashion design to Spanish and now I need your helps and corrections, please. I didn't do it for anything but I love to translate.

Colour

Encounter Culture will be the high-summer colour vehicle for 2017. It will offer a ray of sunshine, as the palette sweeps from the sea to the sand to the edge of jungle.

Cocoa bean, coconut and sand emerge as key neutrals, while mango, ackee, parrot green and dragon fruit pink bring bright, tropical bursts of Caribbean culture.

Samphire, headlights and machine red are introduced as accents, bringing lush energy to the palette.

Color

Thank you! / ¡Muchas Gracias!

Hola, aquí te van algunas sugerencias:

1. ... será el vehículo ... para el 2017 ...

2. ... luz del sol; la paleta arrasando desde ...

2. En mi opinión, todos los nombres de los colores deben llevar el artículo: el grano de cacao, el coco, etc.

3. No sé si me convence el uso de "paleta". ¿Tal vez sería mejor usar "paleta de colores" para ser más específico?

I agree with Tomísimo's suggestions.

I'll only add:

- "verde del loro" doesn't make much sense, because this would mean that the color belongs to a specific parrot. Since "loro" defines the shade of green (like "verde claro", for example), then we say "verde loro". (Same for "rojo de máquina".)

- Check your spelling for "lojusa". ;)

And a side comment:

I'm not sure about how to translate "headlights": if I read "faro", I think of a lighthouse, not car headlights ("faros de coche"); added to that, I find hard to imagine such color in clothes. :D

Thank you so much for your suggestions and yes it was a bit hard to translate colors to Spanish because even English is not my native language :D
And I don't really know how to translate headlight color to Spanish because I have never heard of a color like that ahaha. I wish someone could clarify it :)

Also thanks for reminding me to check the spelling of "lujoso" :)

Thank you both so much! :)

Headlight wasn't listed as a color, but an accent. I suppose this describes a color being illuminated/highlighted, as if by the headlights of a vehicle.

AngelicaDeAlquezar February 28, 2016 03:53 PM

Ooooh! So probably "brillos"? :D

Thank you! I didn't know that. So we can translate it as Angelica mentioned no? ☺

key neutrals = neutros fundamentales

ackee (colour) = tango (colour) o llama (colour) -different colours, but depending on the public-

samphire, headlights, machine red = enebro, amarillo luz, granate
