Cual vs que vs como

I have seen all three of these words be used to represent what, seemingly interchangeably. Are there any rules about their usage, or are these three words actually interchangeable?

That assertion is pretty baffling. Can you provide an example?

I suppose you mean the interrogatives, all with an accent mark?

¿Cuál es tu nombre? = What is your name?
¿Qué es un nombre? = What does un nombre mean?
¿Cómo? = What? (I didn't hear you?)
¿Cómo que no sabes? = What do you mean you don't know?

None of the interrogatives above are interchangeable, if you want the translation given.
I like what is said on this webpage.

That website helps a lot but it doesn't address como at all.
