General Corporations

Hello,
I'm Spanish and I need your help with "General Corporations"
My question is what do you thing when you read "General Corporations"?

I made a work, a data base of companies, from differents countries and activities, and now I'm going to publish it in the web, and I need to buy a domain. My first option is "General Corporations", in the line of General Motors, General Electric, but I don't know how it sounds to an English speaking person.

I also read that "General Corporation":
"In many situations, a general corporation, often referred to as a stock corporation, open corporation or C corporation, is recommended, especially when a company goes public or plans a private offering of stock. General corporations are also typically used when a company wants to attract venture capital funding."

I had not idea of this and I would like to be sure about what people understand when read "General Corporations".
Thank you very much for your attention

'General Corporations' would be misunderstood, particularly if you have a database of corporations.
I would suggest 'CorpDb' or 'CorporationDb', instead.
