Re: help with fire
Good question neo:
fuego - fire in general incendio - this would be if your house is on fire, or a forest fire (forest fire - incendio forestal) lumbre - flame or light produced by fire, or fire llama - flame also: fogata - campfire |
Re: help with fire

Re: help with fire
I don't know if this goes here, but how would you say coals in Spanish?
|
Re: help with fire
Mmmm. It would probably be "brasas" or "ascuas", but that can also be wood. According to the RAE:
Ascua: Pedazo de cualquier materia sólida y combustible que por la acción del fuego se pone incandescente y sin llama. Brasa: Leña o carbón encendidos, rojos, por total incandescencia. |
Re: help with fire
According to what atnbueno has posted, it would be Ascuas, but I've always heard Brasas. Maybe that because they were always wood coals?

Re: help with fire
"Ascua" is more generic and I've heard/used "brasas" more frequently.
