Backup file
I've seen three different translations of "backup file," used in the context of computer software:
el archivo de backup el archivo de respaldo el archivo de copia de seguridad Which is the most accepted translation? Is it different based on location (Spain vs. Latin America)? |
It isn't necessary to include 'el archivo de.'
Each of the terms below appear in various websites, and I believe they'll be understood by computer users just about everywhere. I've listed them in order of number of hits returned in Google. copia de seguridad copia de reserva copia de respaldo respaldo backup |
I agree with Rusty and with "archivo de respaldo". It may change from region to region and probably it also changes with context. :)
