Tocateja

A tocateja means to cash payment or cash on the line. I think it may be strictly
Iberian Spanish, but am not sure. Have you heard the term before?

I don't believe I've ever heard it.

tocateja

I don't think that's ever heard in Mexico.

- Pago en una sola exhibición. (This is what you find in invoices when you pay all at once, even if you don't do it in cash.)
- Se paga al contado. (Neutral)
(Very colloquial and it it's not only that there is only one payment, but it is in cash.)

Pagar en efectivo, es pagar al contado.

to pay cash on the nail

Cash on the nail sounds really strange to North Americans and would not be understood except for people who can figure it out, but google searches indicates that it is used in GB. In North America the term is cash on the line.

I hope that we are really going to come up with some concrete proposals on this score because, although paying cash on the nail is important, we must also be prepared to promote our European approach to human rights and democracy.
