Yungbossblaze December 13, 2008 05:57 PM

I love beautiful women

Me encanta la mujer hermosa

would that be the proper way to translate that??

Jessica December 13, 2008 06:01 PM

Me encantan mujeres bonitas? I'm not sure if that is right...we learned bonito/a as beautiful
it would be plural...because women is plural (duh) so...

So, how would you say.......

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

in Spanish!

mexouriman08 December 15, 2008 11:02 AM

For those of you learning American English. I would just like to say, though not completely proper, saying in American English "I love a beautiful woman" could be perceived as plural in this aspect. One could be selective about the women one appreciates as beautiful. For example, rather than just looking at women, one would look only at 'beautiful' women. " I like women but i love a beautiful woman" and singularly " I love a beautiful woman and that woman is you!"

This is a very good point. It would be more common for someone who is in love with a single beautiful woman to actually say

I am in love with a beautiful woman.
