Lucha libre

How can I say?
lucha libre.
or luchadores con mascara.

In the U.S. we use lucha libre for Mexican-style masked wrestling. There's
really no better term for it.

I agree, although not everyone is familiar with the term lucha libre. Otherwise it might be masked wrestling.

I believe he did mean it, and was referring to WWF, and not the person(s).

But I may be wrong... :)

Thank you very much Tomisimo.

Not all wrestlers in Mexican Lucha Libre are masked, are they? I think, in passing, I've seen a couple of "luchadores" who were not masked. Latin Lover is not masked.

My point is .... why would it be called Mexican-style masked wrestling if not all wrestlers are masked?

:thinking::confused::?:

That was my definition, and I'm no expert in these matters. I certainly think that what gives Mexican wrestling the phenominal pop culture force are the creative masks used by some of los luchadores

I agree with you.....was it all started by Blue Demon or El Santo, do you know? The mask wearing, I mean.

Tomisimo January 01, 2009 10:36 AM

I know El Santo was one of the first famous masked luchadores.

lee ying January 01, 2009 12:47 PM

santo and blue demon were of the first famous masked.
they were working to making movies.
