Hola a todos,
La frase en cuestión es del libro Tinta invisible de Javier Peña. Cuando Caravaggio pintó David con la testa de Goliat se dibujó a sí mismo de joven como David y a sí mismo maduro como la cabeza cercenada del gigante. Creo que los escritores somos como Caravaggio. Escriba de lo que escriba, un escritor se escribe siempre a sí mismo. Does "un escritor se escribe siempre a sí mismo" mean se escribe de/sobre si mismo, i.e. writes about himself/herself? Thank you. |

Escribir sobre uno mismo
is a conscious act that has the writer talking about his/her real him/herself in total awareness of such fact. Escribirse a uno mismo implies the writer is projecting him/herself into one or several of his/her fictional characters without being fully (or sometimes in the slightest) aware of that fact |
