A los demás que les importa
Hola a todos,
In a scene in the movie Carne de horca Lucero receives a letter and asks to have it read to him. - ¿Qué? ¿Visteis al tío Lucas? - Sí, me dio esta carta para ti. - Lee. I'm not sure I understand correctly the meaning of the last two lines. Does "Lo sabe el padrino que se entera de nosotros" mean that el padrino knows about it (about "diligencia de Córdoba que trae dinero") and that el padrino also knows about us? And the meaning of "A los demás que les importa" is unclear to me. It is a statement, not a question, right? https://my.mail.ru/ok/571130741592/video/10/413.html The scene in question starts at 28:53. Thank you. |

The dialogue is
- Lo sabe el padrino que se entera de to'o. - ¡Y nosotros! A los demás qué les importa. The text in red: both are talking at the same time. |
Thank you both very much, Rusty and aleC!
The "Lo sabe el padrino que se entera de to'o. ¡Y nosotros!" part is now perfectly clear to me. But I'm still a bit unsure about the meaning of "A los demás qué les importa." in this partiicular context. As far as I can tell, this phrase is written in the letter. Does it mean that, according to the author of the letter, no one has the slightest interest in this stagecoach with money? |
I think it means nobody is going to "object"; no-one will try to stop the robbery.
