According to the Diccionario panhispánico de dudas, the phrase "de acuerdo con" has several meaning and the phrase "de acuerdo con alguien" means according to someone, i.e. according to what someone says/said:

o, si lo que sigue denota persona, 'con arreglo o conforme a lo que dice u opina esa persona': «De acuerdo con Einstein, esta debía de ser de 1745 segundos de arco»

But in the movie Carne de horca there are two uses of "de acuerdo con" that do not fit the dictionary definition.:

The first scene with this phrase is at 11.17.

Don Joaquín: Acabo de hablar con extensamente con su padre que le espera disgustadísimo. Hace tres días que no sabe nada de usted.
Juan Pablo: No comprendo a mi padre Pues cuando sabe algo de mí se disgusta más todavía.
Don Joaquín: Pues esos disgustos son los que yo quiero evitar a mi hijada. De acuerdo con su padre he decidido romper vuestro compromiso.

Obviously, "de acuerdo con su padre" doesn't mean "according to what your father said." It means I think "I talked to your father, then I decided to break your engagement and he agreed to that", i.e. something like "by agreement with your father" (por mutual acuerdo con su padre).

The second scene is at 46:40.

Don Joaquín: De acuerdo con el Lucero Juan Pablo preparó el secuestro, abonó la deuda de juego con el dinero del rescate, luego asesinó en Zahara a un hombre apellidado Vargas.

Without knowing the context (part of the context can be seen in the previous scene at 46:03) one can think that Don Joaquín means "According to el Lucero/According to what el Lucero said", but what he means is that they (El Lucero and Juan Pablo) planned the kidnapping together, they agreed on how they would act, i.e. "De acuerdo con el Lucero Juan Pablo..." means "By agreemet with el Lucero, Juan Pablo..."

So are these usages of "de acuerdo con" in the movie standard and if so why doesn't the dictionary mention this meaning?

After discussing the matter with your father and with your father's approval, I have decided...

De acuerdo con el Lucero...

To me it means "as Lucero tells the story..." but you're right, in context, it can mean "in cahoots with Lucero"

Both phrases sound literary to me. Regrettably we are not as educated as to allow ourselves to be so concise and precise without using colloquial regional phrases, a no-no in international cinema.
