I agree with Poli.

Here are a few other ideas:

no way jose - para nada, jamás, estás loco, ni en sueños
weird
- raro
hodge podge - una mezcla, una revoltura

bmarquis124 February 06, 2009 02:33 PM

aww i was hoping my alligator sentence would work in spanish.
thanks you guys.

Tomisimo February 06, 2009 03:27 PM

This isn't really part of your question, but the thread's title is ¿comó se dice estas palabras? and it should be ¿Cómo se dicen estas palabras? :)

bmarquis124 February 06, 2009 03:42 PM

oh i didn't even notice that but you're right. my brain was somewhere else lol. is there a way you can fix it?

Tomisimo February 06, 2009 04:06 PM

It's not really a big deal, and I only mentioned it to make sure you were aware of it. Title changed.

Rusty February 06, 2009 05:02 PM

There are several ways to say these phrases, some more vulgar than others. You purposely used euphemisms in most cases, and I believe there are equivalents in Spanish, but the words and meanings can vary a great deal from country to country.

If you're willing to wait, we could probably come up with quite a number of choices.

Here are a couple of choices for the alligator one (although I think they lose their charm y sentido):
Hasta la vista, cocodrilo.
Hasta luego, cocodrilo.

Try some of these instead:
Adios carita de arroz
Adios granito de arroz
Adios corazón de arroz
Ay, te guacho, cucaracho
Me piro papiro
Me piro vampiro
Chao pescao

bmarquis124 February 06, 2009 05:42 PM

ahh thank you. this is what i was looking for. i don't know exactly what me piro vampiro means, but that one's my favorite so far.

Rusty February 06, 2009 09:38 PM

pirarse = to make oneself scarce
me piro = I'm out of here

CrOtALiTo February 06, 2009 11:54 PM

I never have heard the word Me piro, Rusty, you know what does me piro mean?

Besides it sound very odd for me.

Rusty February 07, 2009 08:27 AM

I gave the translation of me piro just above your post, Crotalito.

bmarquis124 February 07, 2009 11:03 AM

Just the opposite. It's the most common for that group. The similar ones are grouped together and arranged in order from least to most popular. I believe the most popular of them all was chao pescao.

bmarquis124 February 07, 2009 12:29 PM

oh good, that's a relief, because i  that one. thanks everybody, for your examples.

sosia February 09, 2009 12:42 AM

me las piro vampiro :D :D :D
It's very informal, but still works. "Hasta luego cocodrilo" it's more for oldies......
Saludos :D

Dang - ¡Ostras! (a euphemism for ¡hostia! - unacceptable!)
Jeez - ¡Dios mío!
No way José - ¡De ninguna manera!
Whatever - ¡Lo que sea!
Weird - Raro
Never mind - No importa
Wow! - ¡Wow!
Hodge podge - Lío
See you.... - ¡Hasta luego!
