Thematic glossaries
hello
is there a good reference to find thematic glossaries? for example, a list of verbs that express movement, a list of adjectives that express position, a list of adverbs that express time, a list of verbs that express crafts, a list of nouns that express virtues, etc thanks |
Yeah - that would be FABULOUS! I just bought an "Oxford Picture Dictionary" with English & Spanish pictures/captions. But they're mostly nouns. I'd love an online resource as described by "lingos". :)

Some of those categories might be too wide, such as "verbs that express movement", but I can really see the need for something like this. I have had plans for some thematic (and illustrated) lists of words, but what I had in mind was more like a picture dictionary. List like you suggest sound like a really good idea.
So I don't know if anything like this exists anywhere else, but I'm going to take you up on it and create some. |
Well, I meant that I wondered if there were resources like that "out there". But if it's something you want to add to TomÃsimo, David - go right ahead. I wish I could help you develop those lists ... a task like that would be right up my alley. Alas - my Spanish is still so novice!
Will you post a comment here (eventually) when you've started something like this for us to look at? Thanks! |
Yes, I'll post here or make an announcement somewhere on the site when I've started something like this.
