Blind Carbon Copy

Thank you for your answer ... and thank you VERY MUCH for your corrections. Did I really get that much right!? I mean, the stuff that you corrected for me was dumb stuff that I should have already known. (DOH!) But the tenses and constructions were good???? Yay!!! Thanks, Rusty!!
|
You're welcome. There are a couple of other errors, but your conjugations are correct.
|
Well, go ahead and let me know what the other ones are. (Always learning......)

Actually, Rusty - I'd love to pose the same question - what is your background in Spanish? How did you gain such excellent fluency? And how did you get to the place where you can be so academic in your instruction? You're truly giving away for free here what you could easily be paid a lot for!!
|
Alas, no one will pay me for what I know.
I do quite a bit of searching on the Internet to come up with some of the answers, as you know, so it isn't all in my head. I learned Spanish over a two-year period while breathing, eating and drinking it 24/7 in four countries of Central America. That was a LONG time ago, though, so I've been trying to learn here like the rest of you. I embrace words, so I'm very happy to share what I have learned about them. |
And you're completely modest. In any case, Rusty - thank you ALWAYS for ALL of the help that you're giving us!!
|
C'mon Rusty, say something, pleazzzzzz???? You're so smart!!!! Really, if your native language is English, how come you know way MORE Spanish than I do??? What's your secret? Do you read a lot?? - Digo, so I can pass it on to my kids..LOL....:D
De verdad, tu siempre tienes la palabra perfecta y sabes de todo. One more thing: Never leave Tomisimo...we need you here ;) O.K. Rusty, I just read your reply. I'm behind, for some reason I didn't see it before. In any case, I'm even more amazed that you were able to pick up that much in just 2 years!! Even if you did it 24/7 !! Thanks for sharing  |
Thanks, Pixter. :o
In a bilingual home (me imagino), children will learn both languages equally well if both languages are used 'equally'. Exposing them to reading, watching television/movies and conversing in both languages is necessary. Some formal language courses outside of the home will reinforce what was learned in the home, since most of us don't care about grammar, et al. |

Thanks, Sosia - that's helpful, too!
