Jessica March 17, 2009 05:34 PM

CrOtALiTo March 17, 2009 05:52 PM

What is the celebration?

Jessica March 17, 2009 07:41 PM

St. Patrick's Day. :)

AngelicaDeAlquezar March 18, 2009 09:42 AM

¡Feliz día!

@Fazor: "Suerte" is a better translation for "luck" in this case.

"Suerte de los irlandeses" :)

That's the problem with looking up words in the dictionary; there's always multiple words for each thing (going both English->Spanish and vise versa). Hard to know which to use when there's no context given.

"¡Suerte de los irlandeses a todo!" ?

¡La suerte de los irlandeses a todos!
is what you wanted to say.

I always look for new words twice: once in the Spanish-"foreign-language" dictionary and then in the "foreign-language-only" one. It's hard to understand at first, but it gives me a clearer idea about the meaning of the words. I hope the trick can also work for you. ;)
