I could use...
How do you say "I could use..." Or "I could do with..."
For example: "I could use a little help here" "She could use some encouragement" "I could do without that music" "He could do with losing some weight" Is there an expression for those things in Spanish? |
Re: I could use...
Literal translations are not always available. Your best bet would be something like the following.
"I could use a little help here" - Necesito un poco de ayuda con esto. "She could use some encouragement" - Ella necesita que la animen un poco. "I could do without that music" - Yo estaría bien sin esa música. "He could do with losing some weight" - El necesita bajar tantito de peso. Wait and see what other suggestions people have. |

Thank you, that helps a lot! :)

You're welcome. Others will probably have good suggestions too.

Re: I could use...
Spanish (from Spain) version:
"I could use a little help here" - Me iría bien algo de ayuda con esto. "She could use some encouragement" - No le iría mal algo de ánimo. "I could do without that music" - (Yo) podría pasar sin esa música. "He could do with losing some weight" - Le iría bien perder algo de peso. As you can see, I'd go with the "iría bien/mal" solution. |
