How you would say the word in English Rellenar datos.


I was wondering that would can say this sentence of the following way.

I have fulfill the request for my quiz.

I don't know am right or bad.

I appreciate your advice.

I'm not sure at all, but I think that it is "to fill out". Anyway, when I do my English exams, sometimes I'm asked to "fill in the gaps" (literal: llenar los huecos). So, I'm not sure if "to fill" is enough or you need "to fill out".

Either is possible in: fill in a form or fill out a form. But you can only fill in the gaps.

I never use rellenar for forms. I still think completar is better.
I would rellenar a pepper. :D

Could you llenar un formulario?

I would say "llenar una solicitud", "llenar un formato", "llenar una forma".
The word "formulario" is starting to gain some popularity because that's how Microsoft Office and similar software call what we used to know as "formas" and "formatos".

In Chile application= solicitud and form = formulario

Speaking of rellenar........how do you say "refill"........as in refill a prescription?

I hear a lot of patients say "Quiero hablar a la farmacia para rellenar mi medicina" but it sounds off for some reason.

Llenar - rellenar - cumplimentar / documentos - formularios - impresos. Todo es correcto.

I think part of the mixup with Crotalito is that "cumplimentar" really isn't used in Mexico that I know of.

I know of never have heard the word cumplimintar. I don't know if that word exist in other place but at least in my country does not exist, therefore I believe that the mix up in this thread in for the diversity to words in other countries.

En México eso no se usa. Aquí te dan una receta y un frasco de medicamento nuevo cada vez. En todo caso, se diría "surtir" y "resurtir" una receta. O "surtir" y "volver a surtir" una receta.

Cuando hablas de "refill" de refresco en un restaurante de comida rápida o de café en otros restaurantes, dirías que quieres "más refresco" o "más café". :)

Well, to tell you the truth just because it isn't used in México doesn't mean it doesn't exist. The word isn't used but it obviously exists.
