Quick Translation

Hello, I'm new and need a quick translation. I've tried to use online translators, but they do not translate this into intelligble english. There must be some non-literal subtelties to the phrasing that auto translators cannot pick up on.

Anyway, the phrase is "Es vienes quiere decir que ha pasado mucho tiempo que no has ido". I was conversing with my limited spanish skills with an online friend and asked what "hace mucho no vienes" meant. Unfortunately, I can't decipher the explanation! :p I'm roughly understanding him to say that it's something to do with wanting to say I haven't been in awhile or something along those lines. It was online message chatting, so it may not be entirely correct as people tend to shorten things during instant message chats.

The phrase should have been 'es cuando quiere decir que ha pasado mucho tiempo que no has ido'.
The translation is:
It's when you want to say that it's been a long time since you've gone.

Hace mucho = it's been awhile / it's been a long time
ha pasado mucho tiempo que = a lot of time has passed since

hace mucho no vienes / hace mucho que no vienes = it's been awhile since you've come here/visited

Using Rusty's correct answer, other option is that he was correcting you, but it miss a "coma"
If you asked what does "hace mucho no vienas", for example
He could answer
"Es vienes, quiere decir que ha pasado mucho tiempo que no has ido", meaning
"You should write "vienes", (the whole sentence) means "a lot of time has passed since you've gone"
