He intentado encontrar un equivalente para " curarse en salud" en inglés y no lo encuentro. En España se usa para evitar problemas posteriores causados por una mala gestión de cualquier índole.

To cover one's bases:
He admitted to one indulgence during the business trip, just to cover his bases.

As a preventive measure, as a precaution:
The doctor checked the patient's heart rhythm, as a precaution.

To be on the safe side:
He made sure all the doors were locked, just to be on the safe side.

I like the "just to be on the safe side" :D
