Trial and error
Today I was watching a Tv program on Marsupials and I heard the expression trial and error multiple times. Can anyone set a couple of examples and give an equivalent of the phrase in Spanish?
|
por supuesto!
trial and error = ensayo y error Significa que se trataba de hacer algo y fracasaba muchas veces ante de tener éxito Eventually after much trial and error I managed to learn spanish Through trial and error you can learn anything! |
"Trial and error" means that if you don't know how to do something, or you don't have instructions, etc, then you just try and err until you figure out the right way to do it.

Ok. That´s why the animal babies , everytime they tried to come out of their mum´s poach, did trial and error repeatedly. Thank you.

In Spanish you can say tantear
|
Tantear el terreno ?
|
Tantear el terreno.
That phrase is a sentence colloquial in my country it want to means that you're watching the place where you going to go in some moments. I mean, for instance. Rosa estas tanteando mi llegada. Rosa. You're waiting my arrived. In this example Rosa is waiting for the arrive to him, as you can see the word is exchange of another, therefore waiting and tanteando are completely the same. |

Sorry I am confused, is 'tantear' the same as 'esperar' then, or is it used also in a different way (more as to ' carefully try' or something similar?) Could someone give some examples of how to use the word 'tantear' as in the abovementioned 'trial and error' please? :) |
Tantear es probar, nada más. Al menos que yo sepa.

For example. Veronica. You must to be carefully because the neighboring is watching you all time. Therefore you must to be carefully, because perhaps the neighboring like you.:D |
In English we can also say "suck it and see"
