To resist

To resist

Another quick question: I've read that "to resist" is "tener fuerzas." Is that correct?

And if I wanted to say, "I resist it," would that be:

Lo tengo fuerzas. (?)

Likewise, "I can't resist it," would that be:

No lo puedo tener fuerzas. (?)

or simply,

No lo tengo fuerzas. (?)

No, to resist is resistir. You can say "No tengo las fuerzas resistir
la tentanción de comer cuando tengo hambre," for example.

I am sure you know this, but you omitted it. :)

I'm curious as to where you read that. Resistir can mean "to be durable" as in "resiste mucho" = "it's very durable".

To resist :
1. resistir
2. No poder más = no tener fuerzas

PEro son sinónimos en el mismo contexto claro está.
