Wizzening

Wizzening: I can't find this word in the dictionary. Does someone know its meaning? The sentence is:

"Well, and you shall go, whining, wizzening little stick!", said the mother.

(from Sons and Lovers, by D. H. Lawrence).

Thanks. :)

This is an uncommon word for shriveling or withering (arrugando, encogiendo).

PS
It may be nice to know this word, but nobody will understand you if you use it.

That's wizening.

Google:wizzening encuentra citas de Lawrence y referencias a un rito de iniciación pagano.
