When answering a question with "I hope so", should I use "Espero lo" or is it just "Espero" or something else entirely?

Por ejemplo:
-"¿Vas a ir al café?
-"¡Espero lo!" / "¡Espero!" :?:

Besides pjt's proposal, "I hope so" can also be "eso espero" and "ojalá (que sí)".

"Espero lo" has an incorrect order. In any case, it should be "lo espero", but the right expression for this is "eso espero".

"Espero" is not incorrect, but it has to be intoned the right way, so any of the other alternatives will be better. :)

P.S. 'Estuve ir a decir' was an awful lot of mixing and matching of conjugation, and I'm really unsure of that. Trying to say 'I was going to'.

Also, "cafe" (sin acento) = "coffee shop" in English.

It is very useful in Spanish. You can use it alot when speaking and its really easy to use since you simply add the infinitive after the "a" and then add on the pronouns. Iba a dartelo (I was going to give it to you)
