Cheeses! Yes!

I forgot that word... :(

I would look at it (colgador) and I knew it was not the word needed. :)

poli December 24, 2009 11:46 AM

Of course, perchero. Thank you.

No lo veo bien. Parece un colgador, ¿no? (aunque la parte de arriba parece un toallero)

Perikles December 26, 2009 03:35 AM

It is a 'perchero' = coat rack, according to Google images. Your 'colgador' is fixed to a wall, and I don't know the name in English, perhaps also a coat rack.:)

irmamar December 26, 2009 03:41 AM

To me there's no difference between "perchero" and "colgador" :D

chileno December 26, 2009 08:57 AM

For me colgador is what you use to hang the piece of clothing and perchero is what perikles and irmamar showed in which you hang your colgador or a piece of clothing directly to it.

irmamar December 26, 2009 02:01 PM

Maybe you call 'colgador' to the object I call 'percha' :)

This is a percha, for me:

Ok. Perchero is the one where perchas or colgadores go. :yuck: :D

Oh I see, then it's a hanger.

I'm sorry.

Percha is from Latin pertica, a pole or stick. In English it is perch, specifically something which a bird stands on.

Will this thread ever end? :) How do you all get such large pictures in your posts?

sosia December 27, 2009 07:15 AM

As Elaina, for me there's no big difference between a "colgador" and a "perchero"
I usually call "perchero" the units in armchair, and the one-standing-poles, and "colgador" the less bigger thing, hanging on the wall/door.
so "coat rack" =perchero and "hanger"=colgador, but in the middle size can be both.

Saludos :D

Saludos

Look at the icons over the answering box. You can see something that looks like a photo with mountains. Click there and copy the link you want (you can find images using Google - images).

By the way, when I pass the mouse over the icon, it says "Insertar imágen", and "imagen" has no accent.

:)
