Hi., Can anybody describe me the colour mentioned above ?Is it grey white ? black white? or what ? Thank you

Where did you find this? Añil is indigo; if I had to guess I'd say that it's a description of a football team's shirt which has stripes of white and indigo.

That reminds me the colour with which many houses in Andalucía are painted outside: a clear indigo, since they use lime instead of paint and mix it with some indigo colour. Something like this:

Por qué indigo y no índigo.

Siempre pensé que el índigo era un color azul claro... pero no es así. :thinking:

Porque estaba escribiendo en inglés (y en inglés no lleva acento) :D. Además, yo siempre digo añil, no índigo. :)

Es un azul fuerte. Es el color que más me gusta. :love: :)

In some regionsof Mexico, "añil" is a substance used for washing the white laundry. Clothes become so white, that they shine with a blue-ish nuance. :)
I think "blanquiañil" is that kind of colour.

Ahora que dices eso, me acuerdo que en Chile vendían unos paquetitos chicos color añil :) y que era un blanqueador.

I was tottaly lost till the last reference to the "washing" opened a door to my mind.Yes It seems like something indigo but faded ,not exactly indigo .
