Actor revelación

Actor revelación

I'm not familiar with term.

Ambarina February 15, 2010 07:51 AM

In terms of awards, it's given to an actor who was unknown; usually but not always a young actor who has performed exceptionally in a film. Literally "a revelation".

The actor revelation is the actor winner some movie, if you have watched before the movies awards, I believe that then you will know that I'm saying.

Ambarina's explanation is right.
From the grammar point of view, "revelación" is used like a title awarded to the actor, that's why there aren't any link words between both nouns.

agreee with all
"actor revelación"-->"actor que ha sido una revelación/sorpresa este año" --> "actor desconocido que este año ha causado sensación/lo ha hecho muy bien"

saludos :D

It doesn't seem to be a common category in awards like the Oscars or the Golden Globes, but I think it should be an equivalent of music industry's "Best New Artist".

Thank you my friends. Best new actor makes sense.
