Empleo or empleos?!
Hello
I run a couple of jobsites (e.g. dublinjobs.ie) and I was wondering, if I was to translate this into Spanish would it be empleodublin.ie or empleosdublin.ie? My understanding is "empleo" means job and "empleos" means jobs, but most Spanish jobsites use the singular form which seems a bit weird... Any help or advice greatly appreciated. Thanks! |
"Empleo" can be used as a generic word, for instance "Oficinas de empleo" (you can find there all kind of jobs). :)
And welcome. :) |
Thank you! :)
So does that means "empleosdublin" is incorrect, or is it equivalent to "empleodublin"? And if you had to pick, which one is better?! |
Both are correct. You can choose what you want. Maybe I'd pick "empleodublin" because it's easier to pronounce. :)

Thank you for your help, I appreciate it.

You're welcome. :)

Is that a word? Or is it Dublin jobs? |
The latter. It's a jobsite for Dublin.
