Peinarse

Peinarse

Does this verb mean that you don't have to say "hair"? ("Intransitive", right?)

So, I don't need to say "Lana se peina el pelo". I can just say "Lana se peina". Right?

Yep. The verb means 'to comb one's hair'. There's no need to be redundant or repetitive. ;)
The verb is reflexive.

The other day, someone said to me: "¿Estoy peinada?" I was a bit confused at first. When I asked what that meant, she said she was asking me if her hair needed to be brushed, which was also confusing because I thought brushing was "cepillar". It took awhile to chase down "peinar". Now I think I'm good............. :)

"Cepillar" can have more meanings, so in that case one would have to make clear "cepillar el cabello", but the usual verb for having your hair "well done" is "peinar" or "estar peinado".

Another great verb! :)

¿Cuál es el verbo "to ruffle hair"? No lo recuerdo , pero pienso que es parecido a peinarse:thinking:
