English- Sharpener ???

A knife sharpener would be the devise that sharpens the knife (whetstone for example) I think the person who sharpens knives may be known as a knife grinder. My grandmother called someone who sharpens metal a scissorman. A scissorman may use a bicycle-type devise to sharpen blades. I am not sure if either of these two terms are the official terms.

Yes, "sharpener", as in "knife sharpener"...but as poli said, "grinder" is the common term for the tradesman who does it.
