TV Remote
I have a question for the other English speakers here... a lot of people in NY call it a "clicker" and I've been out of state and people think I'm out of my mind when I call it that, haha.
Does anyone else call it a clicker? Also, may as well bring this up, in Spanish it's just called "Un remoto" right? |
At least here: "control remoto", or if you want: "control". But never "remoto" alone.
"Pasame el control [remoto/de la tele]" |
El término español que conozco es "el mando [a distancia]".
In English I've heard "zapper" but I use "remote". |
I've heard "clicker" used often, coast to coast, U.S. and Canada...
|
I agree with Ookami: here we also say "control (remoto)".
And here we'd never say "remoto" alone either. In Spanish TV series I've seen they call it "mando", as pjt said. |
