To get yourself out of a jam

I know the Spanish verb indultarse, but I would like to know if there is a
Spanish turn of phrase. Thanks

"salir de un lío"
"salvarse de la horca"
"salir indemne"
"salir limpiamente"
"salvarse por un pelo"
choose one :D :D
"indultarse" sounds odd, because "indultar" is done by a goberment's representative, so usually you can not "indultarse". Only special cases like "EL emperador se indultó a sí mismo de su delito por irse con mujeres casadas" :D :D

No estoy seguro de ese indultarse.

Pero si de zafarse/salvarse.

En este momento no puedo pensar de ninguna frase equivalente.

"Indultar" is a legal term that means to forgive someone who has committed a crime. "Indultarse" would mean one forgives oneself, which, to my mind, could only be said in a figurative sense.

The best translations here are proposed by Sosia and Chileno.
Also "escaparse" and sometimes, "desembarazarse".
