There is a good definition of it in Wikipedia [gaslighting = is a form of psychological abuse in which false information is presented to the victim, making them doubt their own memory and perception.], as a colloquialism based on the film and the play "Gaslight".

Does anyone know a colloquial equivalent in Spanish?

I could go with something simple like "manipulación psicológica" and that may work in many contexts. But my question is in the direction of a Spanish colloquialism with equivalent meaning, something on the line of "haciéndote ver fantasmas donde no los hay" or something like that.

Any ideas are welcome! :)

(By the way, I have not seen the film with Charles Boyer and Ingrid Bergman, but looks like a 'must see' film, a classic.)

Hey, Poli. Thank you. Well, I tried to do as much correction I could... but thank you for the answer.
I think the most common is "volver loca a una persona" although "volver a una persona loca" is also correct and used. (That may just be my personal liking?)
At any rate... thank you! :)
(I will watch it... one of these days... I have quite a number of films /books etceeeeetera on my 'pending' list... but as the saying goes "todo se andará".)

Well, the first think that came to my mind was the one poli said, but in the form of: "enloquecer" It can be applied in many contexts.
But clear equivalent in Spanish does not exist, context would do the thing. It can be "confundir" or "hacer desvariar", or "manipulación..." etc.
