Nix

I found these definitions.
http://wordnetweb.princeton.edu/perl/webwn?s=nix
  • forbid: command against; "I forbid you to call me late at night"; "Mother vetoed the trip to the chocolate store"; "Dad nixed our plans"
  • nothing: a quantity of no importance; "it looked like nothing I had ever seen before"; "reduced to nil all the work we had done"; "we racked up a pathetic goose egg"; "it was all for naught"; "I didn't hear zilch about it"
My question is what would be the best translation for "nix" into Spanish?

The verb to nix ? ningunear?

the noun nix/jinx? gafe?

If something is nixed? infausto? malhechizado.

There is an air of superstition about thus term--almost like a curse un hechizo.
