Oxford ofrece "(sl and dated) entender" pero me parece que "dig" en este contexto (aunque sí es jerga anticuada) significa más "apreciar", "considerar guay".

I've heard the expression, "You dig?" or "Dig?", which means "do you understand?" This is a slang from which the word "digging" is conjugated from. There is an interesting discussion about the origin of this word here:

I just took it from Abba's song "dancing Queen" that's all, otherwise I' d never use it unless I work in the garden.
