Efectos retroactivos

Efectos retroactivos

How would I say that a law doesn't have "efectos retroactivos"?; that is, that the law cannot be applied to the facts or the sentences made before the current law is published.

Thanks. :)

This law is not retroactive.

Retroactive? Without effects?

Thank you. :)

Is not retroactive.

retroactive effect

A law has retroactive effect if its effect reaches backward in time (prior to the enactment of the law). See ex post facto law (or retroactive law).

So 'effect', in singular. Thank you. :)

Correct. As a matter of fact, its effect affects only from a certain date depending if it is retroactive or not.

Thanks, chileno. :)
