Leaned/Leant are the past tense and past...
Leaned/Leant are the past tense and past participle forms of Lean, the example you give is (largely) written in the past tense, so since the example is largely in the past tense the past tense form...

Help with "would you like"?
Tu becomes "Te gustaría", as in "Would you like a drink?" is "¿Te gustaría una bebida?", what I'm wondering is if Usted changes form much like tu does, or is it simply "¿Usted gustaría una bebida?"?

Rolling Rs
I'm not sure if my technique is right, I roll Rs on the back of my throat, basically like the "guttural J", whilst flicking my tongue forwards (if the R is at the start of a word), seems to work...
