Campus

If you agree 'in/at campus' are wrong; is THE optional?

-We offer a lot of activities around (the) campus, so you can fulfil your talents.
-Johnson, the clinic is closed on Saturday and Sunday, so be sure to see the doctor before the weekend if you are sick; otherwise you'll have to go outside (the) campus/to see a doctor outside (the) campus, which is much more troublesome.

In the US we often use the expressions "on campus" and "off campus".
