I'm also at entry level Spanish, so there may be issues with my corrections, but I'll correct the obvious ones.
Quote:
To me it pleases To my dogs they please When you want to expressly uses the noun (e.g. my dogs) you place "a" in front of the noun, so: A mis perros gusta algo. Often you can substitute the "a + noun" with an indirect object: "a mí" => "me" A mí gusta comer el carne. Me gusta comer el carne. If you're saying you (or someone else) likes multiple things, you change "gusta" to "gustan" since multiple things are doing the pleasing: Me gustan los animales When expressing possession, (e.g. My sister's name) you often have to re-word the sentence to "the name of my sister", using "de". So If you just want to say "her name", without specifying "my sister", then you can use "su": su nombre es Hopefully this helps ![]() Last edited by conejodescarado; March 09, 2011 at 07:52 PM. |

me gusta (singular noun) (I like (singular noun)) me gusta (infinitive) (I like _____ing, or I like to _____) me gustan (plural noun) (I like (plural noun)) te gusta (singular noun) (you like (singular noun)) te gustan (plural noun) (you like (plural noun)) a mi perro le gusta (singular noun) (my dog likes (singular noun)) a mis perros les gusta (infinitive) (my dogs like (_____ing, or to _____)) Given this information, you should be able to correct all the 'gustar' problems I marked. me llamo (I call myself = my name is) mi nombre es (my name is) el nombre de ... es (...'s name is) ella se llama (she calls herself = her name is) él se llama (he calls himself = his name is) el nombre de ella es (her name is) su nombre es (her name is) el nombre de él es (his name is) su nombre es (his name is) Given the information above, can you rewrite the bit about your sister and her husband? Any questions, from either person, just ask. |
