Are the following sentences correct? ¡Gracias!

Mi favorito artista de murales mexicano es Diego Rivera. Me gusta Rivera porque su arte captura el momento y es muy tradicional.

What I am trying to say: My favorite Mexican muralist is Diego Rivera. I like Rivera because his art captures the moment and is very traditional.

Words were rearranged by chileno which you've put back the way they were. Try the first sentence once again.

Nope, you still want the determiner 'mi'. There's another word that isn't needed.

If the first sentence seems like too much of a mouthful, you could write:
Diego Rivera es mi muralista mexicano favorito. -or-
Mi muralista favorito de México es Diego Rivera.
