Me las arreglaré solo

According to my dictionary, "arreglar" means "to repair, "to prepare" and 20 more, so why does "Me las arreglé solo" mean "I will figure it out myself"?

None of my dictionary indicates, that "arreglar" or "arreglarse" mean "to figure something out".

It is probably depends on the context before. There is a problem. Something that needed to be done, fixed or repaired. In reverso 'arreglé' means I managed.. I think the translation is wrong. It should be I figured it out myself or I managed it by myself. "I'll figure it out" would be 'Me las arreglo" ... I think lol I'm am learning also so I thought I would jump on the mystery machine with you bud and help understand the confusion. We will wait to see what the others think.

I cannot remember what the context was like. I am learning from Spanish dubbed movies. In the English version, he said: I will figure it out myself, in the Spanish one: Me las arreglaré solo.

"Arreglárselas" is an idiomatic expression meaning that the person speaking will find a way to solve their problem.

- Juan se las arregló para poder terminar el trabajo antes de salir de vacaciones.
- No sé cómo, pero los niños se las arreglaron para que no los castigaran sus padres por romper el jarrón.
- Si nadie me ayuda, me las arreglaré solo. Resolveré el problema como pueda.
- Tenemos que arreglárnoslas para hacer que el perro del vecino deje de entrar a nuestro jardín.

Yup...
Me las arreglaré solo = I'll cope with it by myself... I will handle it by myself... or words to that effect.
