Question about subjunctive mood in spanish
Hello,
I was wondering why in this case "Si fuera más joven, nos entendería mejor", do we use subjunctive? I thoght that subjunctive never follows the "si (if)" clause. Is it because in this case it is something that is uncertain and unlikely to happen, is it the same principle as "Si hubiera sabido... lo habría hecho" ? And if "si" is something certain, it uses only indicative.. like "Si vas al cine hoy, iré contigo", "Si no me respetas, te castigo". ? Last edited by Caramelita; May 02, 2013 at 05:31 AM. |
